ZigaForm version 7.4.2

Multi- Genre  Anthologies

Not everyone reads in just one genre. Someone who reads mainly romance might also read romantic suspense which will then lead them to suspense, then the next thing you know, they are devouring thrillers and police procedurals.

Variety is the spice of Life!

We will be putting together several multiple genre anthologies to feed each readers’ appetite and introduce them to new writers in genres they don’t always buy.

Each anthology will be filled with 10-20 new stories, in all genres, and will only be available a limited time. After the publication time has lapsed, the author can then publish the novella themselves.

Specifics

Length

Each submission will need to be novelette (7,501-17,500 words) to novella (17,501 – 40,000 words).

Availability

Each anthology will be available for 6-months.

Royalties

Each author will recieve equal royalties based on sales through each platform.

Formats

Each anthology will be available in print and ebook.

Distribution

Each anthology will be uploaded to Amazon, as well as other retail sites.

Final Files

After the anthology is removed from publication, the author will recieve final files (pdf & epub) so that they can publish independently.

The Long Story

This is is NOT, I repeat NOT, a list-aiming anthology. This is good way to get your books and series found by people who normally don’t  search you out.

As we have been the designer behind several huge anthologies for multiple groups of authors, usually in a specific genre, we wanted to use our knowledge and experience to help authors in all genres. Thus the idea of a “Whitman’s Sampler” of books came along.  Several of us have been kicking the idea around for almost 8 years but never worked out all the details until now.

These anthologies are great if:

  • You have a series that needs a novelette or novella “prologue”;
  • You have a series planned out for release in the next 12-months;
  • You want to attract new readers;
  • You want to build your tribe of author friends;
  • Or, you need to give your audience reach a nudge.

 The submissions must:

  • Have central theme, location or date in common;
  • Must be a complete story (can be a cliffhanger but storyline must be complete);
  • Be professionally edited at least 45-days prior to publication;
  • Agree to let the manuscript be available for 6-months.

The Nitty Gritty

While this is not list-aiming, we have partnered with Creative Edge Publicity, Abundantly Social Marketing to promote and market the anthology. We have also lined up several different podcasts to showcase the anthology as well as the authors involved. These services are included as part of the admission fee.

All manuscripts included will be allowed to have the following:

  • Complete book list linked (must submit with either a universal link or link to author’s website),
  • Dedication
  • Acknowledgements
  • Bio
  • Headshot

As part of the marketing, a “swag” teaser ebook will be made to give away via BookFunnel and other methods. The teaser will include:

  • Each novella’s title page;
  • Each novella’s 1st chapter;
  • Author’s linked book list;
  • Author’s bio, headshot and contact method links;
  • Link to Universal purchase link.

The authors are responsible for:

  • Having novella professionally edited;
  • Submitting book list as well as universal links for each book;
  • Submitting novella, front matter, back matter by deadline;
  • Sharing anthology through social media posts and newsletter content.
